We just got a great new picture book: "Body Art: The Human Canvas -- Ink and Steel". I just looked at it with glee for the last 20 minutes. The photos are great and the models are young and old, sub-culture and professional, skinny and big.
There's a great one of a guy in his mid-50's (looks like) with a graying buzzcut and a longass gray goatee and tattoos of blue fire over his eyebrows to make them look permanently pointy.
Wow!
I want this as a coffee table book! (Well, I guess I'll need a coffee table first!)

Looking at the pictures made me feel really good. I wasn't able to get a tatoo like I wanted this winter. That's fine: I'm getting so much more: a new apartment with Joe, renewed energy towards creative work, opportunities to put that energy towards ... .
But my eyes are focused, too, on when I can get the next tatoo. It is something I doubt I'll ever get tired of -- getting tatoos, that is. And I just had an idea of what I may want on my left forearm.
Maybe come this August ... . We'll see!
