Somewhere off in the Nexus

After seeing Enzan in the hospital and apologizing, V2 and Blues headed back home. V2 was feeling upset again and tried writing it out in his journal, but when that wasn't enough, he asked Blues if it would be okay for him to go off alone for a little bit

Most people probably wouldn't notice V2 there, but Blues was looking specifically for him. He paused when he spotted him, though. V2 was... crying? Blues frowned. Obviously, Enzan had had good reason to worry about him. Blues started moving again, quietly approaching the navi. When he reached V2's side, he sat down next to him, hesitantly touching his shoulder.

"Are you all right?"

V2 quickly stopped himself from crying and didn't move for a moment. He slowly turned and looked at Blues, examining his face for a moment.

He started wiping at his eyes to dry his face, feeling a little embarrassed, "I dunno."

"Hmm." Blues kept his hand where it was, resting on V2's shoulder. "Enzan told me what happened. I would have liked to have been there for you." He was here now, but he didn't know how much good he could do. "Was my Enzan able to repair you?"

V2 gave a faint smile. Mainly because he felt like he knew who this Blues was, but he wasn't completely sure with the short hair.

"Yeah. Just about everything. Blaze changed some things to my code, and he was able to change it back."

"I've been having trouble figuring out what I am to Enzan. What I should do." V2's smile faded, "It's confusing at times. Sometimes I feel like I need to be with him all the time. Sometimes he pushes me away. Sometimes he tries to bring me close."

V2 shook his head, "I thought...I thought that maybe I should act more, I don't know, human? Try to do things outside of being a Navi for Enzan. And when I finally came to the idea that I could, he said some things. Not bad things, but it made me feel like I should continue staying close to his side. But that's not what he meant. I think, what he was trying to tell me is that I am his Navi, and how I am someone he can always turn to for help...when he needs help."

"Maybe what he means is that you are a friend. That is what friends do." He paused for a moment, then put his hand on V2's shoulders, trying to meet his eyes. "I think you should do what feels right to you. If Enzan objects, listen and act as you think best, but it must still be an action based on what you want. If it is not what he wants, explain that to him. The most important thing is to remain consistent. I think it is the uncertainty that is confusing you so much, and inconsistency leads to uncertainty."

V2 shook his head, "No. There is a point where it can't be what I want. It's like you and your Enzan. Your relationship is what it is because you both want it. However, for someone else, they might love a person but that other person can't return those feelings. They can't possibly have the kind of relationship you and Enzan have. I want too much from Enzan."

He looked at his hands again, "Dark Blues has his own life. But he will help Enzan whenever Enzan calls for him. Enzan knows how to get in touch with me if he needs me. I could be like Dark Blues."

Blues gave V2's shoulder a light squeeze. "That is why I also said you must do what feels right. Sometimes what feels right is not what you want. I cannot tell you what to be. You must figure that out for yourself."
