I'm really afraid of scaring away the new boy by being my normal, grumpy self. Of course, said new boy has only been around for all of two weeks, so I should be nowhere near showing him that yet, should I? How comfortable should you be around each other at what stage? Is there an acceptable timetable for such things?

I hate not knowing. I hate the unpredictability of life. It's so scary.
