uninspiring and uninspired
It's one of those completely no-energy days. No physical energy, no mental energy, no motivation, and confused by a multiplicity of options, all of which are procrastinatory (nap! read book! play Neopets! play SimCitySomeversionorother! scan old photos! work on photoshopping old photos! work on budgiedome.org! talk to people on Catster! talk to people on LiveJournal! Talk to people in my Neopets guild!), and not productive in any essential sense (i.e. cleaning up the house so Gordon doesn't die of cat allergies Thursday night, doing laundry, cooking, getting a shower), because I just. Don't. Feel productive. At all.
It's probably hormonal, but also to some degree pollen-related. (Yes. According to pollen.com, pollen levels are up there. 6 inches of snow on the ground, but the maples and elms and small conifers don't much care. Steve even installed the upstairs air conditioners last week, but I can't really run them, even on fan, when it's only in the mid-40s out there.)
Steve is in Norway for the week. His plane was only 2.5 hours delayed Saturday night, despite complete chaos at Philly International because of the ice storm and computer failures. (Yay USAir!) Fortunately his plane was coming in from overseas and so didn't have much in the way of ice buildup; the international terminals and gates apparently were in much better shape than the domestic ones; and he printed out his boarding pass at home. :)
I have a clowder of cats to take care of, including one on the porch who really wants attention but I am too enervated to deal with him right now. Also, there's a Lansdowne Folk Club show this week, chewing up my Wednesday and Thursday nights. It's "St. Paddy's Day Hangover", with Patrick's Head, Shane Dodd and Karl Mullen. Plus, fabulous pastries!
