I'm sick of all these phony NBA personas as well. I'll bet in real life Vince Carter is a modest, healthy, team player who runs his own affairs independantly of his mother.
Wednesday, I went to the Vail Daily Newsbrian_speedOctober 1 2004, 00:25:21 UTC
and read that whole 57 page interview with Kobe and the detectives that somehow, got mailed to the newspaper, and I read that a) Kobe was an complete and total idiot for talking to the cops without a lawyer b) the cops had already convicted him before they drove up to the hotel c) the cops were a couple of bumbling nitwits d) the case was a classic case of she said/he said e) he also outed "Michelle" and stated that grabbing his sex partner by the neck was the normal way he has sex, except, it seems, with his wife f) that charges should not have been filed
Kobe admits she said "no?"

I don't understand Kobe's position, exactly. From what I hear, he admitted she said "no." From what I heard HIM SAY, he BELIEVES that SHE BELIEVES that he raped her. Put those two things together (although I didn't hear HIM say the first) and I don't see how he could NOT be in serious danger of being found "guilty" in the civil case - not to mention the now-dropped criminal case.
I just don't get it. But then, I didn't "get" the O.J. "not guilty" in the criminal case, but "guilty" in the civil case (or whatever the guilty-equivalent is in civil cases).
