An Eagle County, Colo., detective wrote in a report Bryant, being interrogated hours after a woman accused him of sexual assault, said Shaquille O'Neal, his Los Angeles Lakers teammate at the time, had once confided to Bryant that O'Neal had paid up to $1 million to women to keep them quiet about "situations like this," the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday." - quoted from united press international
what in the fuck was kobe bryant thinking? what in the fuck made the brotha say that shit? i can't even express how extremely pissed off i am at his actions here. now i'm already in the camp of folks who think kobe is a prick for fucking another woman when he was married (at best) or worse, actually fucking raped that girl. either way, his actions here only solidify his absolute ass-holedness. i remember when he first hit the nba scene, clean-cut and honorable (or so the media hype would have liked us to believe). when all that shit went down with the girl in colorado, his perfect image came tumbling down and the real kobe came to light.
being a prick who hides behind some false image of perfection is just fucking cowardly. he should have just admitted from jump that he was an ass and didn't give a fuck about anybody but himself. hell, his selfish personality was manifested on the basketball court so in my mind one would have to be an absolute idiot not to realize how selfish the fucker was.
with all that being said, why in da HELL did he find it necessary to bring shaq into this? and let's not get it twisted...i'm not a big shaq fan either, but damn, be a fucking man about it and just own up to your own shit. don't bring other names into the mix like that shit's gonna get you off or something. what he pulled was a punk ass move and i HOPE AND PRAY the kid plays for a team that NEVER EVER wins another championship. i hope he retires as a miserable has-been.
i hope he understands what he's done to himself and his career. the guys in the nba will be gunning for his ass this year. don't be surprised if you see kobe on the bench nursing a busted lip from an errant elbow or grabbing his crotch cuz someone put a knee in it.
