i hate "educated" folks who think just cuz they opened a book by choice that they automatically have the right to deem themselves cured of the "ignorant bug". if you're white, don't think just cuz you got a degree that you're better than white folks who don't, and don't think that makes you incapable of being racist. if you're black, don't think just cuz you've got a degree that you know all about how or why "niggaz" act the way they do, don't think you are suddenly enlightened with the answer to the "black problem", and don't think having that fucking degree separates you from the black folks who don't.
i hate guys who think it's the woman's fault that women are exploited in american media. sure, many women make the fucking choice to show their t&a on television, but guess what? you guys are the ones who control that shit, and you're the ones who told those women you want t&a. when you auditioned women for your music videos it's not like you said "i want a sista with a great personality". you said "i want a sista with a banging body who ain't afraid to show it." if you can acknowledge women CHOOSE to show it, best acknowledge the fact that yo ass CHOOSE to demand it.
i hate women who know guys are exploiting them but they don't give a fuck. look here sista...you can flip a titty out til it's sagging if you want to, but don't turn around and say you wish a guy was digging you for your brains. do you really think a brotha giving a fuck about what you think when you're flapping your breasts and ass in his face? i WISH this society was evolved enough to where a woman could walk down the street butt ass naked and she would still be respected. however, centuries of women being objectified can't be erased with a simple "hey! i'm a brain behind this body that i'm flaunting in your face!" get to deciding what you want more and stop thinking you can have both because right now, it ain't happening.
i hate folks who come up with stupid excuses as to why they're not doing shit to eradicate the world of its ills. make up all the excuses you want, but the fact is that if you don't do shit, shit won't get fixed. problems don't just disappear because no one acknowledges them. teen pregnancy, the spread of aids, illiteracy, homelessness...those things don't just fucking disappear cuz you don't want to do shit about it. you don't have enough time? well then, acknowledge it's not a priority for you. acknowledge the fact that you truly DON'T give a shit about your community instead of hiding your apathy behind some sorry assed excuse like "i simply don't have the time." at least you'd be real about it. hell, not everyone gives a fuck, and while that pisses me off to no end, that's their choice. only don't sigh like you care but then don't get off your ass to do something about it.
i hate folks who talk about it but don't be about it. folks fucking hem and haw about issues, with all of these glorified paragraphs about what's ailing black folks or what's ailing society, yet they're more content with pontificating about the problem than they are with actually putting some of those grand solutions into action. if you have a solution, bring it, but bring it to the table with a plan of action. don't just sit there trying to look and sound smart. meanwhile, you're really just looking like a vacuous idiot to me. luckily my opinion matters little, but i'm telling it here cuz this is my fucking livejournal.
i hate "urban" folks who like to make distinctions between themselves and "country" folk like being "country" is equated with being "stupid". since when does being born in a place with no grass and alot of fucking concrete mean you're somehow more intelligent? since when does being born in a small town mean the person is ignorant?who da fuck determined that one way of life is somehow superior to another? people who believe in that shit without the facts don't even see how they've bought into an idea pulled out the ass of some urbanite from the past who had self-esteem issues and felt the need to make other folks feel bad, so he or she came up with one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. and guess what? being a "backwoods redneck" ain't a bad fucking thing. not all of them are card-carrying racists just as not all kids born in urban poverty are gun-carrying drug dealers.
