Working for the weekend

Another Monday, yay. 3-day weekend coming up, though, so that will be nice.

Got the boy back to his father's Saturday, and school starts today. Hopefully, I remember to call tonight and find out how it went. The schedule will be a bit rough for him, I think. He has 4 classes a day, about 90 minutes each. This is going to be especially rough during English and Reading. The one smart thing I saw is that the last class of the day is the "easy" one: Health (which I hope includes P.E. since he doesn't have it otherwise), Art, or Music depending on the day.

FFXI: We did ToAU 44 again Saturday. We'd intended to start about 1:30, but it got put off because that's about when Lightsday started. Once we realized the time, we decided to come back and try it later. The only reason I did this fight again was because it was for the 2 people who had done all the other missions with us up to ToAU 44.

We won again, with about 10 minutes to spare this time with PLD, WAR, RNG, BLM (me), WHM, BRD. Again, he didn't do much with the healing move. There is some trick to this from something I read in the chat log, but I've no idea what it is. I do know Alex spent a lot of time in the beginning removing the DoTs I put on him.

Also, I was once again reminded why /SCH is so fantastic for WHM. Jurai, who came along as WHM/SCH, did not have anywhere near the MP problems that Cerri, Deano and I have all had on this fight as WHM (and they are both much better at MP management than I am). Sublimation + Light Arts = pure win for long fights. Too bad he isn't available for Nyzul (I think). He's a good WHM in general, and his BRD goodness would be absolutely fantastic. Especially once I finish /SCH ;-;

I'd like to get back to leveling SCH starting Wednesday if possible, or maybe this weekend now that my gil is back up to an acceptable level. I'll even seek if necessary. I absolutely refuse to solo worms or pets for most of my levels; duo is okay, but I'm not going the solo path again.
