I always thought California was considered the Promised Land, but since I got here everyone has been apologizing about the weather (after allowing that the cool, sunny days we've had since I got here are a complete anomaly). It's been cold lately -- temperatures around 0F, with wind chill around 20 below. I don't mind so much! My body doesn't feel colder than it does at 20F, except for fingers, toes, cheeks, and nose.
