Faith and I hopped on a pseudorandom trip to Kingston for the weekend; we each stayed with friends from High School. Great fun :) Katie rocks!! I'll miss her again now.
It was the Queens Homecoming weekend, and wow.. the partying was sooo hardcore, I'm shocked. I've never seen so many drunk people, except in Ottawa on Canada Day. Pancake keggers all Saturday morning-afternoon, and by evening every 3rd house was a massive drinking party. Katie lived real close to the party hub, Aberdine Rd. I think it's called. Around 11ish a buncha ppl tipped a car onto its back, and were dancing on it. It was later flipped repeatedly, until it was quite a ways down the road. Gas was leaking out. Eventually the car was lit on fire. A wall of police were blocking entry onto Aberdine, more cops came on horses to control for rioting and whatnot. Fun times :)
Faith's friends were toootally nice, and I got to visit her family too. Her dad drove us back this evening. Now I've got a CM assignment to do before 10:30 am... hope I can get that done and sleep too... I'm very glad Ximena's in that class though, it's great to have someone to go over the material with etc. ;)
This term's going alright; I'm just ridiculously busy!! I'm WCF exec so that's a ton of work.. I'm also a Peer Mentor for one of the cute l'il frosh M-Sections, so trying to keep myself available to them for that... tho it'd help if MathSoc hurried up and got us an office or something. I ran the CSC elections last Tuesday so my official affiliation with that club is now done. I'm also running the StatsClub elections -this- Tuesday... I hope it turns out well!! 20 people came to our first meeting this term, so that's mega-excellent. Happy stats club :) Running elections means I won't become exec, which means I'll have time to do schoolwork!! YaY!
Yeah, going to Queens was kinda a bad idea... lol. Super-fun tho. This coming weekend: WCF bonfire (probably) on Friday, then our retreat is a day-long Saturday thing (which I'm -really- looking forward to.. much-needed time to pause and _think_), and then Sunday for _some_ stupid reason I'm volunteering at a University Fair in Toronto. It's hard to say no to profs, I guess :/ meh, should be neat.
Speaking of profs: on Thursday my Stat 330 prof made fun of my WatCard photo during tutorial, in front of everyone. Then in class (150 people) I quote her announcing: "Sometime after Mike's had a few too many drinks, ask him about the picture on his WatCard." Good thing I don't drink, I guess :) grrrr, I'll get her back, I tells ya....
Mad props to Ottawa pplz... I miss that place already. I had a NES party when I was back home, it was great times, lotsa ppl came :) Unfortch, I think Chris/Julian/Malcolm were a bit weirded out there were so many ppl (14 or so).... even though they're the ones I wanted most to come etc. (well and Sam, gotta have Sam lol) but other than that it was fun :)
Oh, and one last thing: Jamima has been kidnapped!! AGAIN!!!! BAH: The Creek, I will have my revenge!!!! (tho I still think John is to blame.) Yarr!
