I was starting to worry, as Midwest FurFest is about a month away. Speaking of FurFest, I got confirmation that I am invited to join Staff in running Consuite! I've been gophering with the con for over a decade, usually tending the soft bar in the Consuite, so the boss finally said, "Hey Zel, you're always working here any spare hours you have, and you've got enough Voice Of Command to give you some moxie with the underlings. Why don't you just join staff already?"
For those who have staffed conventions before: Yes, I know that it's not really a promotion, it's just signing a contract to do even more free work in exchange for a shinier nametag. But what heck, I'm in.
