I'd done and almost forgot sweet, shy Nestor. ;.; And he's Sergei and Sacha's grandson too-!
And like most everyone else in Full Circle, he will get a new look. That's what comes with having a grandfather who was a former hair stylist and fashion aficionado, after all. :P~
1) Because of his grandmother's influence, Nestor is indeed very sheltered and shy, and not at all like his parents (most particularly Akim) in terms of liking parties and things.
2) In spite of being married to a man, Nestor is a bisexual that leans towards women. The problem is that he wasn't sure how to approach women for the longest time until he met his great-aunt Chelsea, and no, certainly Maiya did not help by calling him a pervert for wanting to ask his grandfather Carlos about girls.
3) His parents do love him, even though he was an unplanned pregnancy. However, his father Anton had always wished that Nestor could have had at least one sibling so that he could have a playmate, especially as the other Mikhailachev kids wanted nothing to do with him for the fact of his strong vampire blood scent.
4) Like his parents, Nestor is fluent in both Spanish and Russian, especially as he's one-quarter Puerto Rican and half-Russian. He just doesn't tend to use his language skills much, as he's not nearly the romantic with his husband Daryl as his parents are with each other.
5) Nestor is only more willing to deal with his grandmother as he's been fairly brow-beaten by her and coddled, unlike Anton, who grows sick of being treated like a child and would make occasional visits to both of his uncles' houses just to get away up until the House of Akim is completed.
6) Nestor only agreed to join his parents at the House of Akim because of Daryl, who insisted that it was better for Nestor to be out from under the specter of his grandmother. Daryl was fairly starved of his husband's attention, just as much as his fathers-in-law were, as Maiya and Carlos undermined every chance of the men having their private couple time. Of course, the House of Akim is decorated not to Nestor's tastes (much less Anton's), but accepts it anyways, especially as his own room is "normal".
7) Nestor's daughter Yana is a lot more outgoing than her father, and like her grandparents, is sick of Maiya's mollycoddling behavior. She practically skipped off to college as soon as she graduated high school.
8) Yana also keeps in regular touch with Nestor, but is always telling him that he needs to stand up to Maiya. Nestor hasn't done so because he's too nice like that.
9) Nestor never got to be the proper parent to Yana, but only because Maiya hogged her as a baby. She had done the same with Nestor when he was a baby too.
10) Deep down, Nestor would like his grandmother to stop hovering him and treating him like a child, but due to his shyness, he doesn't feel that he can properly stand up to her or his grandfather Carlos, for that matter. So other people have to fight his battles for him...
