Tis the season to be jolly.
Christmas was good.
I saw Zarko on Christmas eve at Lambys which made me happy since his phone died while I was talking to him earlier in the evening. First boy I've ever been with who'll dance with me and it was nice.
Kate and Troy and Joshi actually came on Christmas even though Kate's fighting with Aunty Lou and Uncle Stan and they weren't planning to come for weeks, and I got to play with Joshi for like half the day. He's turning into such a cute kid and it's sooo cool watching him look at stuff and watching his face as he considers everything. He does this squinty thing too so he can focus coz he's got a bit of a problem with one eye. And he only spewed once all day. Go Josh! Grandad made us laugh as per usual. I used to feel mean laughing when he said stupid things.. but he's at the point now where he doesn't even remember what he's said long enough to know you're laughing at him. And if I didn't laugh at him I'd probably cry. We're pretty sure he knows we're his grandkids, but he doesn't remember any of us anymore. The only one he uses a name for is Matt... but he gets called Tom or Stan. He has no idea who Mum is. Matthew, Mich and I kinda got a little emotional at the end of the day when we said something to him that he used to say to us as goodbye every time we saw him (If I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the window). He muddled it up and we said it to him properly and he had a split second moment of recognition, then it was gone again. It was good seeing him have a moment of understanding though.
Everyone went home pretty early coz Josh was tired and Grandad was getting aggitated coz of wanting to be in his own house (he didn't know where he was in our house). It was kinda strange coz our family used to hang out together till really late on Christmas and everyone was gone by 7. Matt stayed though to play the Spicks and Specks interactive DVD and Mum, Yai and I (and Ally) beat Mich and Matt (and Shane) 2 to 1! Go team!
Ally and Shane came over for the last game (obviously) and so I got to see two of my most favourite people on Christmas day. Then Matt, Shell and I went to visit Faz and Pen and got stuck into their food too.
I got pretty much exactly what I wanted for Christmas, and a couple of things I wasn't expecting to get. Blankets that I wanted for my bed (my favourite presents), JB voucher, money, a water/sand resitant speaker box for my iPod at the beach and a silver bangle from Shelly (coz the one I got from Carmy melted over a fire sometime last year when I was very drunk and cold), a toiletries bag that's pink and black and covered in stars :), and Armani Code which I love and even though I wrote perfume on the list of things I would have liked, I didn't expect to get it.
Spent boxing day with Michelle and Naic and we went down to Point Lonsdale and had fish and chips, then went to Queenscliff to the lolly shop and got umbrella lollipops :) Went over to Shane's for a little while and then saw Zarko again tonight. I was so excited to give him his present, I wanted to give it to him weeks ago when I got it, and the look on his face was sooo good. Little bit annoying that his birthday's in January and now I have to think of something else straight away :S
I'm spending new years eve with him and we're going to the waterfront. I knew what dress I wanted to wear (a bridesmaid's dress mum wore in like the 70s or something) and tried it on last week and it was like an inch off closing (it used to close). I tried it on tonight when I got home just to see how far off I was (apart from Christmas I've been really good about eating) and it did up!!!!!! And so concludes the best Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day of... the year. haha
