Not Making Friends and Alienating People
So I rejoined tumblr a week or so ago, mainly so I can screen out annoying community blogs (why not just post all fic links in one post like the SDHerald? like 2 pages of fic recs...) and post pictures.
Yesterday made a wry comment about the drawings Spike had in Crush, how it was always my guess is they came from Angelus. Mostly 'cause it's shown Angel can draw, they look like his style and Spike's sole example of sketching is Angel on a punching bag. Also I find him keeping them from the mansion to be funny. Just a tongue-in-cheek thing.
I guess this isn't a thing anymore in fandom? Or at least certain people 'cause they got a condescending about it. Obviously Spike drew them! They're from post S4, look at the clothes! Set dec is always accurate and meaningful! College courses! Of the top of your head you can name like 3 things that weren't supposed to be seen, like Buffy's address being Crestview Drive in As You Were. The pictures of Sarah with dark hair, the random dude whose picture Buffy has on her desk in S7. The set dec department fell down quite a few times on the shows.
I had a flashback to an argument with a dude regarding the time period It Follows is set in. According to the director it's meant to be 'out of time' yet some nimrod would write post after post about how it was obviously post 2011 'cause the car was that year of a Malibu.
People, I swear.
