Lately, I have found myself rather inspired by Queen Rania's efforts to promote education.
At the moment, there is not much I can do except to sign petitions and maybe spread the word a little but in time, I hope I can contribute something bigger.
The facts and researches that they have done on the impact of education to girl's and women's lives fascinate me.
For instance, a study on Girl's education revealed the following:
Girls who are educated are less likely to be exploited, less likely to fall victim to trafficking and less likely to be infected with HIV.
Girls’ education also creates a virtuous cycle: women who are educated are more likely to have healthy children of their own.
Educated girls are more likely to delay marriage and less likely to get pregnant young, reducing their risk of dying in childbirth
When women and girls earn income, they reinvest 90% of it into their families, versus just 30%-40% for men.
Living in a country that is stricken with poverty, you look around you and wish there was a solution, and every time I read Queen Rania's speeches on education, I realize that Quality Education really IS the solution.
