Since the game was early, we wanted to get there by 9am to be able to park. In our rush to get there, we didn't really plan how we would spend the next 2 hours. Luckily Amy had a foldout table that came with her car (pretty sweet), so Liz and her dad munched on tortilla chips and beer while Amy & I put together our cheese and meat cracker Lunchable sandwiches. This is how we tailgate if left to our own devices. Everyone else in the parking lot has tents and TVs and couches and huge grills. We have Cheese Nips and chocolate milk (milk was mine).
I sat the closest to the field than I have ever been for the A&M vs. tu game. We were behind the touchdown zone (to the side) in Row 2! We could have spit on tu's band, but we didn't. We just laughed at their out-of-sync flag twirlers. And I feel bad for making fun of the baton girl, but when she runs around by herself, she makes her band look like a circus. The game went by pretty quickly, which just shows shows you how much I enjoyed it. And I hate football. But 29-40 wasn't the slaughter we expected. Go McGee!
Game was early which meant the tailgate drinking started early, too. It also meant we were planning beer pong at 7:00, and everyone was royally trashed by midnight at Garrett's house. Only 2 out of 9 got sick. Are those good odds? Highlights:
- Lauren spitting up Boone's Farm
- Someone asking the lyrics to FOB's "Sugar, We're Going Down" and 3 or 4 people spontaneously reciting it at the same time
- Luisa grinding on Lauren while also trying to hold her up
- Me trying to clown/krump dance cause I just saw Rize (it's hard)
- Garrett's friend Victor walking around in his white boxer-briefs
- The driveway present for Lauren's family ;)
