Icon Fest F.A.Q. / Texture set / Promotion
Hey again.
So, I've literally spent hours reading and modifying/adding to/...etc. Rachel's lemonpunch's F.A.Q. from the last round. I have formed it to the adjustments I gave the rules, even if minor, and styled it my way. A huge thank you for her letting me use her details and rules and everything and all the help she offered me, even being busy, which is a great gesture, even if I would not add to her to-do list. :) I cannot emphasize on the fact enough that pulling details together, thinking out rules is hard work, and she did all that with the previous rounds and even though I feel modifying and re-thinking is hard work, she gave me a wonderful base to work on, so for that credit goes for her, for everything; the awesome idea, the rules, the patience. :)
Moving on, she created a lovely community for the future rounds of Icon Fests, so please, if you haven't yet go and friend/join the community: ic0nfest. It will be the place for great future fun. She is planning to do her next round in March-ish, and silly me is already excited. :)

Frequently Asked Questions:
♣ Can anyone enter? Do I have to watch your community?
Yes, anyone can enter, as I say, the more the merrier. No, you have no obligation to watch my graphic community, you can keep track of the Fest in your way, and even if you decide to watch it for this event, do not feel bad leaving after it if you feel like it, I am going to understand. :)
♣ Can you have multiple responses to the same prompt?
Yes, there can be several icons made in response to a prompt. You can even answer the same prompt multiple times if you have that sort of inspiraton.
♣ Can I post multiple prompts?
Yes, most certainly. There is no limit on how many prompts you can post, the only requirement is that each prompt must be made in a new comment, within the respective rules.
♣ If I make an icon for a prompt, can I post the icon in my own graphic journal?
But, of course! As long as it is first posted as a reply comment to the original prompt, and be replied to by the person who posted the prompt. You absolutely cannot post the icon in your journal and then provide a link to it as the response.
♣ Can I answer a prompt with an icon that I have previously made?
No, you are not allowed to do that; all icons must be new and made specifically for the prompt it is replying to.
♣ What is bandom?
This is kind of like fandom, but applies (in this case) to anything involving bands or musicians. So pictures of 30 seconds to Mars, Lady Gaga ...etc are all acceptable. You can see the fanhistory entry on bandom here.
♣ Do I have to include the URL to my image in the subject line?
No, please just include the words '[pic supplied] and the the image would be included in the body of the comment itself. The subject line is just for clearly displaying your subject matter and whether you have a keyword or a supplied picture for anyone browsing the page. You can read more on this matter in the rules section here.
♣ I understand that a post of all icons made for the Icon Fest will be made when the Fest has closed. Is it okay that I don't want the icons I made to be included in this post?
Yes, that's completely understandable. Either make a note in your comment when you post your icon, PM me, or comment at the post I will make after I close the Fest (but that is in the future still), and I will exclude your icons from that post.
♣ Is there a specific format that icons should be posted when replying to a prompt?
Not really, however it's always nice to include the icon and a URL for the icon, like this:

But this is completely up to you. I've included the code below if you're unsure how to do this.

Yes you can, but be aware that not everyone is able to make animated icons, so there is less chance of having your request filled.
♣ What is NSFW?
An image or images, that are not safe for work and would include photographs with nudity, partial nudity, or provocative situations. If you're unsure you can comment here and we will let you know, but otherwise play it safe, make a note that it's NSFW in the subject line of your post, and only include a link to the image you'd like an icon of and not a thumbnail or the image itself. Thank you for understanding.
