Despite the usual Schmuddelwetter prognosis in Bremen in this season, it's been sunny for the 6th day in a row, and the cherry tree in front of the house is now a pink cloud, and today was so warm that my friend Magda and I could sit outside in an ice cream cafe - because we just felt like having some - without coats.
April 1st was boring this year - it's not like I'd been very fond of pranks, in fact, I'm not but no one even tried to fool me. OK, maybe next year.
Also, on Wednesday I finally came to the conclusion that no matter how I try to deny it or do something about it, I'm just not a party or a big crowd person. If I'm to keep up a conversation with 2-3 people, then it's fine. If I've to do the same with 10 or more people, or if I'm in a big crowd where everybody's being happy and having fun, then I just feel stressed and unhappy. Do I feel left out? No. Just stressed and unhappy because of lack of social skills. "They must think that we're crazy", I remember Magda saying while we were standing by a tram stop in Sielwall. However, I do not think it's that bad. I mean, I actually go to the parties and pubs. Does it matter that much that I leave soon if I actually show a friendly attitude with going there?
Today was the last Intensive German Course lesson and, if all goes well and Frau Staab decides to recognize my complex sentence structures despite many mistakes, I *might* get a 2 in the end (1 is the best mark). Too bad that I can't take the level C1 writing training/Goethe institut exam preparing course, because my Thursdays will be full of Animal Physiology test but will have to settle with German in Studies - now, I believe that this course will also be very helpful, but some serious work is still needed to improve my memory on grammar.. I used to write much better in German 2 years ago.
Continuing this, I also got the lecture plan, thanks to Mr Hoffmeister's detailed advice based on my interests - I'm going to have a combined Molecular Biology module consisting of 5 subjects, Animal Physiology, Actual Human Genetics, Introduction in Immunology... and something else that I don't remember right now - I hope I'll be dilligent enough to pass the exams and survive through the semester with reasonably well results... as always :-B.
Enough rambling for today, I should slowly leave the internet and go to bed because we're (the Erasmus Initiative and other Erasmus students, an me) are going to Hamburg tomorrow morning by train. I really appreciate the semester ticket because we can do that for free. Also, if no other plans will show up for Easter, I'll probably be exploring the surrounding villages/towns of Bremen, also via help of the semester ticket.
Good night.
