Well, found this thing laying around, and I guessed at the password, so here I am, updating for the first time in over a year and a half. Not sure as to what exactly will happen after I fire this baby back up, but whatever. I don't even know what to write...maybe i'll copy and paste out of xanga, I had a nice little fairy tale on there.
We are going to start from the very beginning, the series of events that led up to where I am now. It was 5th grade, I was at William Henry Middle School, and I met a guy by the name of Andrew Littleton. He and I quickly became best friends that year, and we stayed good friends up until about 9th grade. At that point, he had a friend named Sierra, who for 9th grade, had switched schools and was at CR. At CR, Sierra made a few friends, and introduced Andrew to them. And Andrew being the friend that he was introduced me. One of the people I met through this introduction was a young lady by the name of Rebecca Mears.
She was really easy to talk to, a little odd, and a little random, but she was always there. So after a little while, we got to the point where we talked a lot on a daily basis, and we were best friends. Since then, I always thought there was something between us, but she never saw me like that, so I never really pursued it. I had those feelings, but I put them aside. Now, throughout the next 3 years we had our rough spots, and we had our really good times, but what remained constant was that we were best friends.
The next big event with me and her was concerning the Homecoming dance, senior year. I asked her, since I needed a date, and she was my best friend, so I figured she would understand. Well, during me asking her, there were some misunderstandings and she took it the wrong way and we went through a rough spot. But we worked it all out, and soon came Prom. Even though she wasn’t my date, when I look back at that night I will always see her as my date. Prom was a night where we found our feelings weren’t just something we could toss aside anymore. After Prom, I was thinking I need to tell her how I feel, and she asked me to come over one night, she had something she wanted to talk about, and I very much assumed she had felt something prom night too, so I went and much to my disappointment, it wasn’t about that at all.
Well, getting all excited to explore the possibilities of Becca and I as a couple made me decide to tell her exactly how I felt. So I told her, and spilled my heart out, I had to find out how she felt. So after she thought about a lot of stuff, we decided that we would try it, but not right away. With the many factors, main one being her leaving for University of Kentucky in mid-august, we decided to see how the friendship held up first. Well, hanging out almost everyday over the summer, we didn’t just stay friends…in title, yes, but we were a cute, loving couple by the end there.
She left for Kentucky 2 weeks ago today, and we are still going strong.
