LOL. I know you live in Italy, and I already intend to hit you up with tons of questions as I start getting more research done! And I would totally come to your city but time :( To do everything I'd love to do, I'd need like months. >_> I figured Rome and Florence are two good base cities for what mostly interests those going, though, and would mean we only have to move lodging the one time. You've got my email, though, so send me any thoughts or ideas you have for things we should totally consider or advice on dealing with trains (I've done subways and did buses in England but never did the train thing and are buses different? Like do you validate tickets or get a pass you show someone or...OMG freaking out....) *cough*
Glad you're writing for Advent! What pairing? *curious* I missed the last few prompts there with all the family nonsense happening last month. Hugo continues whispering dirty things in my ear, though, so I know I'll be giving in and letting him play soon. I almost wish my 3Somes assignment had mentioned Hugo as I think I'd have been able to write something pretty easily then but the next gen characters listed are just the Potter and Malfoy ones mostly. Oh well. Not everyone understands the Hugo love.
I had my French friends coming to visit last summer, they travelled to Como, Milan, Florence, Rome and Naples, by car, though. But I've been to both Florence and Rome and I have a great-aunt living in Rome, and I got tons of info for my French friends, I'll forward you the email I wrote to them. :) Oh.. trains. Hehe, they can be tricky the first time you use them, but don't you worry there's nothing crazy like the trains that split up and the first three carriages go here and the last four go there (like they do in the UK!! I was freaking out the first time I got on a train like that all alone!). In Italy, you only need to validate tickets when there's no time or date on them - for more economic trains that stops in every station - but if you catch a train from Rome to Naples, you'll surely have a time and a date on it, so you just keep it with you and show it to someone when you're on the train. I can give you my mobile number and you can text me or call me in case you need instantaneous help, though. :3 So don't you worry.
Ah! It's a Seamus/Dominique, but very probably not something that the prompter would like to read, so I am not going to link it to her comment in the fest, I will gift it to Tam instead, but I don't know when I manage to finish it. I've written 9,000 words, but I still haven't reached the rape, but don't want to get over 15,000. Oh well, we'll see.
Yes, yes! Not many people understand the awesomeness that is Hugo! :D We do, though! Next-gen Potters and Malfoy? Hmm... check out the latest Kinky Kristmas entry for inspiration about next-gen Potters and Malfoy threesome? ;) xxxx
That would be a lovely trip, I'm sure! I considered trying to get to Milan, but I don't know if it's feasible with time and budgets. I'm still in the info gathering stage. I do know there's probably not much chance of our renting a car, but I do plan to check prices and compare with hiring one etc. to see the differences. We started discussing it this early so we'll have time to see what money we need and make sure we don't miss anything. I'll definitely be happy to have "an inside contact" during planning and when we're there etc!
Knowing you, it'll go over 15k. LOL *hugs* I hope you get it finished, though, then maybe you can write Hugo next ;)
