It's based on a poem I started back when I was in The Big House. But I just finished it recently. Call me and I'll sing it to you!!
~*~*~
Cinderella's slipper breaks
leaves bloody footprints in her wake
all the way down to the lake
where she has gone to drown.
Prince Charming he is not around
too busy playing with his crown
to notice she is going down
into the cold, black lake.
So it seems that "ever-after"
has more to do with tears than laughter
that's just how the story goes
Unhappy Ever-After, I suppose.
Sleeping Beauty sleeps no more
she left a note upon the door
then spilled her blood out on the floor
She's gone away from pain.
No longer waiting for his kiss
this world's sorrows she will not miss
she's gone into the vast abyss
Away from all life's pain.
So it seems that "ever-after"
has more to do with screams than laughter
that's just how the story goes
Unhappy Ever-After, I suppose.
It's possible that love & laughter
could still exist in the hereafter.
That's not how my story goes,
Unhappy Ever-After, I suppose.
