After receiving the invitation to the play with Giles, I picked up the phone and dialed Brenna but found out she was away on business. That left Emma but no one picked up. Resolving myself, I picked up my keys and headed down to the mall. I didn't have much money but I desperately needed something that would be okay for a play. I've only been to a couple, so admittedly I don't know much about it.
The mall is packed but I'm kind of glad I'm by myself. It gives me time to take my time and figure out what I want to wear. I figure I should wear a dress, maybe nothing overly fancy but a sundress or something. I hadn't been on a date forever.
Finally after spending forever in the dressing rooms with about a thousand different dresses, I found one I especially liked and bought it. It was a little over my budget but I figured it was worth it. And besides, I thought I looked pretty darn cute for an old woman.
