I'm totally convinced I scared my body into going into labor. I was a wreck last night about that damn drug, and didn't sleep until 5:30 am. You heard about all the stuff that was going on before, and now...

So, I think I may have scared my body into action to some degree. I woke up with a wet spot in my underpants, and for a glorious moment I thought my water may have broken, but it stopped when I stood up, and didn't start again if I bore down, so I don't think it was that. So I just did some research on the drug that my doctor was going to use for the first phase of induction, and it looks like I'm going to have to call tomorrow and tell her to make other plans. The drug is Cytotec, and it's only been approved by the FDA to treat ulcers. The use to induce labor is totally off label, and has never been tested. What ( Read more... )
