(no subject)
This morning has SUCKED, even though I was off work. I saw two different ducks that had been hit by cars. If you're driving by a lake that is home to lots and lots of adorable (but not that bright) ducks, SLOW DOWN. It's not that tough. Also crazy temp called and woke me up in a panic about something that totally didn't matter at work. My mom's pastor's wife called to ask me to come to church (groan), and then I got a call from a friend of mine at work because someone called HER to bitch about ME and something that I hadn't done. And since I'm not at my desk, and we were off Friday and I have a bad memory, I don't even remember if I did what she's talking about or not, so I was singularly unhelpful when my friend called for details. I picked up the police report from my break in, and found out they valued my stereo at THIRTY DOLLARS. I guess he just made up a number and said the face plate was worth that much, which sucks because without the plate the stereo is worthless, and the thing has been discontinued, so I can't order a replacement. I tried to call my insurance lady about it, but haven't been able to get through to her. I really hope they give me the value on the reciept ($260) and not the made up cop number. Grr.
So to make this post more than just a complain fest, here's a list of the sounds my bird can perfectly mimic:
Our microwave beeps- both the sounds the buttons make, and the series of beeps it makes when my popcorn is done.
The oven timer.
The sound of a can of coke being opened.
The crshh crshh sound that a spray bottle makes.
He also whistles a lot, but all birds do that, so no big deal.
