4th of July and other things
I had an aboslute blast last night over at Tony's sister's house. We got there at like 4ish and he went with Rick (bro-in-law) to get all the food. Cheryl and I sat there with the girls and chatted for awhile then we started getting some things ready for the cookout.
People started arriving around 6 and we all sat out in the backyard around a fire started to keep bugs away...and chatted till time to eat. We had hotdogs,burgers,baked beans,etc..it was all reallllly good!! Even more so b/c I had been so busy yesterday I completely skipped lunch so I was starving when it was finally done. I still made sure to watch my portions and not to overeat. After that we started the fireworks...and did'nt stop till almost 11. Well...there was a break while we watched the fireworks on the 21st st. bridge and at Bells..from their backyard we could see both. We got home at almost 1130 last night and we were all exhausted...so we all just got ready for bed and went to sleep. The girls were out within minutes which is what I expected seeing as how they were outside running around playing most of yesterday.
Yesterday before going to cheryl's we went to target to get a few things. We got the girls some new tennis shoes and got us all new toothbrushes b/c its time to change those. While I was there I ran into my boss who told me to stay put cause he had something for me. He brought out a pad of paper for me and handed it to me..I just assumed it was some kind of card since the 3rd marked my 10 years with Target. 10 years...geez where did the time go? Does'nt seem like it has been that long..but it has. At 5 years I got a pen that ended up falling apart..cheap thing..so I did'nt expect anything now. Well I was surprised to see that I have a special code that I can go on target.com and use to get anything i want for $50...anything over $50 I have to put in a card number and pay the difference. Now I just have to think of something that I want...I am going to just go on the website and browse for a little bit and try to figure out what I want. $50 is'nt a whole lot...but they did'nt have to give me anything so I am for sure not complaining.
