Today was a busy day. I would say yesterday was a busy day too, except I don't remember what happened really. Oh right, Jamie went into Tell City in the late afternoon, I unpacked a few minor things and chilled out last night. That's right......
Anyway. It was my mother-in-law's birthday today so she and Bill came in and while Bill worked on the basement stuff and other household things that need fixing, Jamie and her mom did some things out and about. I was at the house doing some unpacking and putting up blinds. I finally got my clothes unpacked (i think), and got my computer desk in some kind of order.
So after everything calmed down for the night, I decided to try something. I had been trying to play 7th Legion for some time, but the game will not install on a 64-bit system. So, what I did was download Virtual PC 2007 from Microsoft, and a Win98 virtual disc image. I wasn't exactly sure what happens on a "virtual machine", but it runs just like any other program, only the program happens to be another operating system. I was able to install 7th Legion and play it without issue.
After going back and playing it, I forgot a few things. Most notably, how pants-on-head retarded the unit AI is - enemy or friendly. So I'm not real sure all that glitters is gold here. Some fond memories should probably stay that way. Still, the option is there.
