40-60 percent of children who go through foster care end up homeless? i'm speechless. i don't know what that says but it makes me really sad to hear.
i think you're right to have questions and concerns going in. with a number like that, how can you not? getting involved in anything, with all the best intentions, it's never easy to see a stat like this and know that things might won't always be pretty. my hat's off to you for getting involved. i don't know what the preparations are, but if you care, and, like the girl said, follow through, i bet you do a lot more good than you might imagine.
