I’ve succumbed to trendy movie tourism and went to Fabijoniškės! (13 minutes by bus). I might never have thought of seeing the place. Yet it played Pripyat’ in the Chernobyl miniseries. A film is a world created. The things get a new life yet also have their own nature revealed. No one expected this happening to an ordinary district of the city. ( Read more... )

I‘m at 3/5 of Chernobyl now. After the first episode, I came back to the closing credits and read them step-by-step, being amazed of how the Lithuanian cast-and-crew makes up a huge part of them. ‘This film has been created with the support of the Lithuanian tax incentive for film production’, as well.
