Let me first say that today marks the 1-month anniversary of the best day ever: April 1, 2005. Look back some to see why this day was so awesome.
So this new update will be entirely about matters having to do with money. Let us now discuss how money has been the predominant theme of my life for the past week.
1. I need more money. So I went and got a job at Hollywood Video that pays basically nothing, but will be extremely easy and low-effort. Hopefully I will get a raise sometime after I start, but if I don't then I won't be too concerned because the only reasons I need money right now are to save for college, and have a social life.
2. I spent a lot of money this weekend. $14.50 went on snacks for the Halo party on Friday, $12 went to buying the Halo 2 Killtacular Pack twice (once for the GH Xbox and once for Grant E's), $8 went to seeing Sahara (a fun albeit unrealistic movie), and finally my dad only gave me $4 for buying $8 Cetaphil facial cleanser which I really need.
3. To make up for high monetary losses over the April-May transitory weekend, I decided I needed some profit. The first source of this profit was the change from a $10 parental stipend to buy pepperoni for a pizza from Food Lion. Of course, by no means did pepperoni cost $10, and the change from this purchase mysteriously disappeared, mostly to make up for the aforementioned Cetaphil facial cleanser. The second source of profit was an opportunistic one: my brother, who usually mows the lawn, had let it grow too long and was thus quite hesitant to mow it. I quickly offered to mow just this once instead, and raked in $16. My parents also felt guilty for having munched on the leftover snacks from the Halo party and gave me $4.
4. I have been thinking that it would be cool to purchase some sort of console gaming system for myself, because it would be very nice to have one in my dorm room at college and I would not like to bet on my roommate having one. Of course, that would cost a lot of money. Used Xboxes on Ebay run between $90 and $120. I also would need games, and controllers. Lots of money there. Probably I will never end up actually buying one.
So, on to other things, did you know you can get an Xbox for $Free.99 over the net? But it requires you to sign up for like six different other offers and to get like five friends to do the same. Plus, I looked the website offering free Xboxes up, and the Better Business Bureau says that there is an unresolved complaint against them. Also on various message boards people are complaining that they never receive the merchandise because the company accused them of having multiple accounts. Some people, however, apparently have gotten buttloads of free stuff by being spam whores, which is kind of cool and also kind of gay.
Well thats all see you later bye.
