WEDDING NEWS!

We have FOUND a PLACE. (FINALLY!~)

However, in doing so, we had to change the wedding date... because we were a. truly out of options for places, and b. we really really REALLY want to get married there. It's "Post Oak Lodge" and the date has been changed to March 26th... It splits our birthdays down the middle (Mine: March 15th His: April 7th, Lars I know yours is close there too, let me know if this is going to be a problem for you!), and Easter is the next day, but it was the only way...

Check out this SITE! http://www.postoaklodge.com

It's BEAUTIFUL!! Although we DO have to have it catered through them *(EEK!!)* So yeah, that sucks.

But we can spend the night there the night before, in the cool lodges, and spend all day getting ready... the lodges have pool tables, poker tables (with chips), shuffleboard (eh) and big screen television... and the rooms are really cute and inexpensive. We're going to TRY to cover them for the wedding party. We'll have to see how that goes. People may be sharing beds. ;)

So,

Site and Reception Site: Check
Rehearsal Dinner: Don't know what/where yet, but covered by Rhys' parents for sure, so Check!
My Dress: Paid for by mom, being made by Pam, check!
Groomsmen attire: Ralph Lauren Chaps, need to get to Beshara's in November people, for fitting and reserving/ordering of the rental tuxes. But picked out! Check!
Bridesmaids attire: Well, I picked out the pretty pretty bridesmaids' dresses at David's Bridal (mix n'match) BUT I need all the bm's to go pretty soon to make sure the sizes they have are going to fit everyone... I think the m&m's go up to size 24 in both tops and bottoms... PLEASE let me know ASAP!! if this isn't going to work, as we'll need to find something else, STAT!! :)
Reception:Food is going to suck. We're thinking we MAY be able to get away with it costing about $600.00, MINIMUM. There will probably not be more than a few champagne bottles, and those will probably just be for those making wedding toasts... we just CAN'T afford it.
Photography: Going to be done by a friend of Rhys' family, Shelly. But she wants to know our budget for photos and she'll make it stretch as much as she can, and I just don't know yet... so definitely NOT check.
Invitations: I have ordered the paper and it should be here on Monday. By paper I mean the actual invitation card stock (black), the vellum, the inner AND outer envelopes, the return labels, and the paper for the RSVP cards, direction cards, and wedding programs. *whew* All that needs done is to design and print. So, CHECK.
Wedding Cake: I so don't even want to think about how much this is going to cost. We're going to try to defray the cost somewhat by getting a small 20-person or so wedding cake, and then having large sheet cakes as the bride's/groom's cakes. That will HELP.
Flowers: I don't want to think about these costs yet either. I just don't know.
Decorations: Have gotten a lot of help on this... Lory (Rhys' mother) has a huge bowmaker that can make all the chair and stair bows, and possibly the bows around the centerpieces too... I have a few good ideas for the centerpieces.. I'm think a vase for each table (cheap and clear) with those colored stones in our colors (from walmart), filled with water, and then with floating votives.. and the big ribbon display around each that matches.. I may do without the ribbons, though, I think the centerpieces will be pretty by themselves.
Transportation: Boy, would I love a limo after the reception. I don't know if that'll fly.
Officiant: Nope, no clue.

OK, what else am I missing guys??

AND PLEASE!: mark March 26th!! Please!! :)
