Feeling Great!

Jul 23, 2005 23:09

I fell great! I finished my annoying assignment (found what A and B were, thanks to checking another students work, and reading a little further on in the text).

I'm exhausted, but I somehow managed to get everything done today that I needed to do - and in the way I wanted to do it. I didn't want to skip on my reading assignment to be able to do my homework this week (and finish reading later in the week) I'm just overjoyed about that.

Now, I just have to get ahead in my assignments, then I'll be good to go for seminar 6 (starts on Thursday) - the final seminar! Dun dun duuuuuun.

I'm a little disapointed in my server right now though - I keep burning CDs on the thing and it keeps getting data verification errors. I'm not sure what's causing it though. I know the files are good, and the CDs are fine - and that burner should be good. The only thing I can think of is there is some type of trouble with 2003 or the hardware on that system. I have had some minor issues with that computer's hardware - since it was a used computer, with an annoying 250 W power supply.

Well, I guess I should be getting to sleep here soon, but first I'm gonna watch somethin' (probably DS9 - I'm soooo geekie).

-=[update (23:20)] Actually, it's more of a "forgot to mention" - this starts with my Firefox 1.0.5 (warning: picture of cat included) entry. Summary: It had a LOT of issues (like occasionally not responding and not exiting from RAM when I closed it) however it was a lot better at managing it's RAM utilization.

Yesterday, I got Firefox 1.0.6 - sweet! So far, no memory troubles and no problems with the program not exiting. Also, it's been doing great work under stressful conditons. I had about five Firefox windows open, each with about 10 tabs running (research for my homework assignment). The RAM never got into the triple digits. I was so happy. Usually with so much going on, Firefox is in the 200MB range, and I'll have to restart it.

Right now, its using a little more RAM than I would hope - 70MB when I only have one window open with two tabs. Ah well, I've seen worse. [/update]=-
