So, we finally finished Firefly. I wish there was more. I'm going to have to try to get tickets to the next screener. Matt, what was that website again? I just can't figure out how the folks at Fox didn't see the merit in that show. It was amazing. I think I like it as much as Farscape, and that's saying something.
Meg called me last night, and asked if I would do a reading at Grace's funeral. Steve and Ryan are going to be pallbarers, so I figured we'd make it a family affair. Hell, Grace pretty much was family anyway. I hope I can get through it without starting to bawl my eyes out. Aside from the obvious, the crappy part of this whole situation is that the wake is Thursday night and the funeral Friday morning. They're both in Franklin, so I'll be spending the night at my Mom's to save money and time. What that means, is after the wake is over and I try to sleep, I have no one there for comfort. I'll be sleeping on the couch, alone. Not so much. There isn't even a baseball game on tomorrow night to occupy my mind. Damn.
Went to the gym yesterday, and again this morning. I'm feeling pretty good.
The Red Sox are getting creamed at every turn. I believe we've dropped something like 6 out of the last 9 games. Maybe 5. still. The Cards are kicking our asses pretty badly. Our defense is iffy, and out offense really needs to step up and help out the pitching, which has suddenly bottomed out. *sigh*
I got a call yesterday saying that our wedding rings are in. :) We also bought our invitations last night. :) Yay wedding planning. I just wish it weren't so damn expensive.
