One of those days ...
Today has been a frustrating day with brief moments of smile-inducing small surprises.
My internet connection has been crap for three days. Today, I wondered if it was a matter of malware or some sort of junk like that. I realized that since replacing my hard drive, I hadn't installed new spybot software, so I decided to do that and see if it helped the speed of things. Unfortunately, when I tried to run the program, my computer kept overheating and shutting down. After trying twice, I gave up and shut the whole thing down.
So then I decided to run some errands. I had to stop by the post office and wanted to hit the craft store. I went to the post office first. As I was walking through the parking lot, the heel on my shoe suddenly snapped. *sigh* I limped my way into the post office and got the package mailed and then gave up again and drove home. I could have switched shoes and headed out again, but I was feeling a bit too discouraged, not to mention paranoid about what the third horrible thing could be if that old adage about things happening in threes is true!
I think my internet connection might be improved a bit now, though. I shut everything down, pulled the power on everything and then restarted it all. So far, so good. Keep your virtual fingers crossed for me, if you don't mind!
