Another drive-by posting before I collapse into bed...
I think the universe is making up for the last couple of days by setting up Jamie event-ripples in my direction. By which I mean that I walked into the library today with about three seconds to pick a (grownup) book before the Indi-kid darted into the kids' section, and what do my eyes alight on but the title that Jamie just finished reading? Yes, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man". Leisure reading for our Bambini!
Not that I will ever have occasion to compare notes with him, but, well, interesting subject matter, especially considering that I grew up in a developing country (is that the PC term these days?) and have a couple family members who are ex-staffers of multilateral agencies. Doesn't look like it's gotten glowing reviews on Amazon, but we'll see what it's all about.
