Barbara Boxer wrote a novel and nobody told me? This is exactly the kind of thing you should be telling me about so I can laugh forever.* Even if, umm, at first glance it reminds me of that movie (which I haven't seen) that Vin Diesel wrote, directed, and starred in about how damn hard it is for people like him to get by in Hollywood.
