600 Miles Later...
We made it!...halfway! Now in the Super 8 Motel in Redding, California, almost exactly 600 miles south of Seattle. I drove it the whole way, and that kind of sucked, but I pushed through it. It was not without troubles, however. In Roseburg, Oregon, we had to pull off into a Big O tire, because somehow my alternator belt had gotten really loose and was screaming like a banshee. We got it fixed (and cheap!) and were back on the road in about an hour. Another problem I noticed later though, was it looks like my thermostat might be going out, but that's a minor problem...I think. Anyways, I'm just glad to be off the road for tonight. The whole day's trip lasted about 12 hours, which is not to bad given the number of rest breaks we took and our long car fixing break. I just have to drive a little more than the same distance tomorrow. Goodie.
