I just sent this email to Canal Boat Trading a company I purchased a corset from to update my Frank costuming about 3 months ago. It is long, but it is funny. I know Adrienne will appreciate it.
Hello Louisa,
I have provided your company with all the information you have requested on numerous occasions. Many of which are included in the thread of this email.
There is only a Paypal transaction as we did not complete the eBay transaction and I did not order through your site. PLEASE read the emails below. There are only 2 of them. I have also attached the email correspondences we had on eBay. I have included the Paypal transaction print out that has my full name, my Paypal transaction number, the email I used to send payment as well as the email you used to receive payment. I am really not sure how many more times I can give you this information.
Full Name: Aimee Jacobson
Email: incorporealgirl@gmail.com
PAYPAL transaction number: 1XY5350047410401E
THERE IS NO SALES ID.
At this point, you will need to contact Paypal and ask them how to return my funds. This is not something I can help you with.
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/bizui/SendRefund-outside I myself read through the instructions and since you have conveniently waited past the 60 days allowed by Paypal to refund a charge, I am betting they will tell you that you cannot refund my money. Now you could simply screw me over here, but I am really hoping that you have some sort of conscience and would like to do the right thing.
I am clearly upset. I know you want this to be over. I want this to be over. I have really tried to be patient with you up until this point BUT this is my money we are talking about here and I will not go away until I receive it. I know that at this point you are not reading my email because as far as I can tell, no one has read a single one of my emails that are longer than 2 sentences this entire time, but I am going to go with it.
I ordered the item on eBay using the Buy it Now feature. I selected Paypal as my payment option. For some reason they did not have an updated credit card for me as I had recently gotten married and changed my name. Also, since I had not updated my email address that eBay had on file, I did not get the emails from eBay that my payment had not been sent and I also did not get the emails from your company when you filed a complaint for non receipt of funds. Since I did not respond, eBay cancelled the transaction and put a ding on my record.
In the beginning of June I was getting worried that I had not received my item and logged on to eBay to send you a courtesy email and inquire as to when I would receive it. This is when I saw the dispute. I contacted eBay to ask that they remove the ding on my record. Since I had a 100% positive rating and no other instances of non payment, they did. I had also contacted your company and asked that you send me the item as I was completely willing to pay. You responded that you would be happy to do so and asked me for my email address so that I could send you the money via Paypal. I do not have to remind you that this is against eBay policy as you did not have to pay them the transaction fee for facilitating this transaction.
On June 5th I responded to your request for funds through Paypal and sent you the money. This was on transaction ID 1XY5350047410401E. I am sure you can find this transaction by going to your History and viewing all payments within the last 3 months... I sent another email through eBay that I sent the funds. At this point you asked me for something strange, the unique transaction ID. As far as I could tell, you were referring to the Paypal transaction ID. I did not send it because I thought that you would be able to figure it out. I don't know, call me crazy.
So fast forward 2 months, On 8/1 I sent you (professorlay@hotmail.com) an email requesting you either send the item or return my funds. It is the email waaaaaay at the bottom of the thread. I provided you with the transaction ID, my full name, my address, the email I used to send payment, and the number, description, and size of the item I ordered. Admittedly, I should have sent this email to canalboat@hotmail.co.uk that was listed on the Paypal transaction page for inquiries.
On 8/4 I posted a comment on your Facebook page and was surprisingly responded to. I sent a follow up email, this time sending it to canalboat@hotmail.co.uk and professorlay@hotmail.com. It was suggested by the person on Facebook that I also send my inquiry to sales@corsets-uk.com, so I forwarded the email thread including the eBay email and Paypal transaction pdfs.
On 8/5 I received a response asking for my name, delivery address, and size... Even though I had provided this to you and it was in the email thread, I responded with this information.
On 8/6 I received another email telling me that the item was not in stock and was suggested a corset that was only remotely close as it was kind of the same color. I also received another email suggesting they could send me the same corset in black. I responded that I needed that specific corset and that if you could not ship it out, that I wanted a refund. I received another response agreeing that the funds needed to be returned.
On 8/7 I sent another email requesting the funds. You responded asking me if it was an eBay order or ordered on your website... Uuuugh. I really thought I had made this clear. We bypassed eBay and I paid you money on Paypal, which I will never do again ever. ever. ever. Since I was frustrated and not willing to explain this yet again, I asked that you read my email and I made sure that the thread only included the initial email, the follow up email, and the attachments previously sent.
On 8/8 I was asked yet again for my full name, which you already have and the sales ID, which does not exist. However, even though I was livid pissed at this point, I sent you my full name and the ONLY TRANSACTION ID I HAVE which is the Paypal transaction ID. I also sent you the instructions that I was able to find on how to refund someone's money using Paypal by doing a google search. If I had the energy right now I would send you a let me google that for you link showing you how to do it. Screw it, here you go.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+refund+money+using+paypal On 8/9 I was sent an email that you would be able to refund my money. HAZAAAAH! However, you said that without the details of the transaction you did not know how much money to send me. Now, this information was included in the pdf of the Paypal transaction that I sent you. It even shows you the amounts in GBP and USD, so it is even easier for you. You also asked me if it was an eBay or a website order AGAIN. I was done. I was not willing to send you the information another time and I did not know how exactly I was going to tell you in a way you would understand. So, I opened a Paypal dispute and told you to respond there.
Today, 8/10, you Louisa, asked me for my order number, my full name, and/or email used. So, I hope you can understand that at this point I really am at a loss. I can only conclude that you cannot read. I mean, it is the simplest explanation. The UK is where English comes from right? I know, I know, technically it comes from Latin, but I am not speaking to you in a foreign language. This should be pretty straight forward.
I thought writing this all out would somehow make me feel better by getting it off my chest, but honestly it just made me more upset. I am going to send a request for funds to professorlay@hotmail.com . Please just send me my money. I don't even mind paying the fee to receive it this way. I just want this to be over.
Warmest Regards,
Aimee Jacobson
