I love the things curlers yell. The Canadians won the World Men's Curling Championship earlier this month, and my favorites, the Scottish team, came in second. Warwick Smith and Ewan MacDonald are on a different team now, but clearly I will always root for David Murdoch's rink.
The Scots losing to the Canucks at this year's Worlds. So sad. And if you want to watch a sad video, here's a clip of the Canadians stealing the 7th end. Poor David Murdoch. But just look at that beautiful out-turn! And I don't know what language that is...Polish?

And I found a video of the streaker from the 2006 Olympic bronze medal game. I like that you can see Warwick Smith sneak a peak at the streaker when he's supposed to be sweeping. That's the streaker running past on the left side of the screen during the overhead shot. And also, the skips' microphones are on during the whole thing, so you can just make out Pete Fenson asking David Murdoch if the streaker is Scottish, and Murdoch giggles quite cutely.

This year's Scottish Men's Curling Champions, and coming home from North Dakota with their silver medals from the Worlds. So cute! Except for that Peter Smith...that is one homely Scot. Damn, that is the biggest forehead I've ever seen! I'm sure he's got a lovely personality. That guy on the far left must be their alternate, but he looks like Vladimir Putin to me.
Chris Plys, skip of the U.S. junior team, the current World junior curling champions. U-S-A! U-S-A!
David Murdoch, dairy farmer by day and Scottish skip by night, bringing the intensity.
