The World is Puddle-Wonderful

I think I'm in love.

Who could not be in love with this incredible, amazing, bloody-fantastic weather today? I skipped around my house today, opening all the windows and screaming with the sheer happiness of it all. My parents weren't as thrilled, seeing as how it was six in the morning but...o well ^_^

Rumor is that it's supposed to snow on Wednesday. Bah Humbug. But right now the sun is shining and the clouds are fluffy and the breeze is warm and the sky is brilliant brilliant brilliant blue so who cares?

So, in honor of the wonderful weather, here's a poem. It's by E.E. Cummings (we're studying him in english class right now and I swear I am the only person in the room who actually appreciates his poems and stories- everyone else just sleeps and or talks about who they hooked up with last weekend. But honestly, the man uses phrases like "mud-luscious" and "a million billlion trillion stars." And he can go on for at least ten pages about human excrement. But he can also go on for ten thousand pages about love. How can you not be enthralled with this man?)

in Just-
spring       when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame baloonman

whistles       far       and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old baloonman whistles
far       and         wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

it's
spring
and

the

goat-footed

baloonMan       whistles
far
and
wee
