Title:
And Arthur RunsAuthor:
arty_darc Rating: PG-13.
Pairing/Character: Arthur/Eames.
Genre: Angst.
Word Count: ~3,500.
Warnings: Deals with a terminal disease, so angst a-plenty. But totally worth it.
Summary: (For the
inception_kink prompt: Established relationship. One has a terminal illness and tries to hide it from the other. Lots and lots of angst about hiding from it in dreams (limbo?) etc etc. ANGSTY.) In Arthur's dreams, he runs. He can. He doesn’t stumble. He doesn’t hurt. When he nearly catapults himself down a staircase-security only a few steps behind-his arms swing free at his sides. He doesn’t need to clench the railing, to hold himself up with his arms in case his legs don’t obey. He doesn't need to wonder how much time he has until he can't even do that.
Recommender's Comments: Both this, and its sequel
And Eames Runs, are absolute perfection. The writing is flawless, the characterisation deep and effortlessly complex, the themes thought-provoking - a very, very stellar piece. Definitely one of my favourites in this fandom.
