where your wildest dreams come true for a price
Arthur has always been the skeptic about these sorts of places. “Watch your greatest wish come true before your very eyes”, the poster says in large, carnival-esque letters. However, this doesn’t dissuade him as he buys his ticket in. Mrs. Cobb, distinguished and classy and very much French greets him almost instantly, seductively watching him with bedroom eyes. She tells him that she knows what he wants, but it’ll cost more than ten dollars and a wasted afternoon to see it. Mr. Cobb offers him a chance out.
Arthur has always been the skeptic about these sorts of places. So he says “no thanks, I’ll see what you have to offer”.
Their smiles are devious, maybe even a bit sympathetic, but they link him up to the gleaming, slightly suspicious machines, and Arthur goes to sleep.
