I went to a new dermatologist to get (I hope) some help on my ongoing problem with the Sixth Plague and also the small rash on my face. The dermatologist is an enthusiastic young woman with huge blue eyes and a truncated view of personal space.
She asked what I had done for the boils, and I listed the antibiotics I've taken with no good results. ( Read more... )

Of course, if you gave me a sulphur wash, I'd be breaking out in pustules and scratching my face raw...

I hope it works for you. Want some eye of newt to go with it?

Nothing like a stinky Roman bath for what ails you. I think in Bath, sulfur is in the waters. No wonder everyone visited. Pale, smooth, skin.

Don't forget the toe of dog and flea sweat.

I want pale smooth skin! Did it make it pale and smooth? Can I get it over the counter?

It made it smooth, definitely. Feels almost waxy. It hasn't made it pale, but it may have evened out the color a bit. (One of the Aveno moisturizers is supposed to help with redness.)

My face wash is prescription, but there are some sulfur soaps out there. I've also heard of people putting tea-tree oil in their moisturizers.
