rather tired
Had pleasant lunch with aunt (and first cousin once removed - I think that's the relationship when the person in question is the wife of the son of your grandfather's sister? - and said first cousin once removed's daughter, and her friend) . . . anyhow, it was a nice lunch.
Slept through a chunk of the second Eurovision semifinal. Admittedly I was extremely tired, but it does also suggest that the songs were not very interesting. Ah well. Not unpleasant, just not very interesting.
Cannot wait for the weekend.
Also seized by the notion of the Eurovision Song Contest being part of some sort of magical ritual. Now there's a thought.
Also very much enjoyed Ben Aaronovitch's Rivers of Soho. Very, very good. Must get the second. What a nice thought it is that the book's in the shop and I can just walk by and get it.
