Feeling rather tired today (anyone pointing out that it might be due to yesterday is probably entirely right, though to be fair there are a couple of colds going round at work). Still. Got work done. Found out that another team is taking a course of action which will resolve a set of problems for us, so that's very good. (Said "thank you" repeatedly and quite loudly, which amused everyone.)
Meeting my aunt for lunch tomorrow. Must Not Forget. Wagamama, I think.
Managed to collar a copy of Aaronovitch's Rivers of London at the local bookshop: I'd heard from a lot of quarters that that book and the sequel were excellent, but I had wanted to read them in order, and while the sequel was conveniently available, the first one had been out of stock for a week or two. So I was glad to find it there. Also got the new Rick Riordan, The Throne of Fire, which is the second in his Egyptian series. Not quite as fond of it as the Greek/Roman ones, but still an entertaining read.

Felix believed that the answer to every problem involved penguins, but it wasn't fair to the birds, and I was getting tired of teleporting them back home. Somewhere in Antarctica, a whole flock of Magellanic penguins was undergoing psychotherapy.

The London Underground has lovely acoustics. Sound echoed through the tunnels, so as we descended I could hear the rush of the trains, the musicians playing for coins and of course the killer baboon god roaring for blood as he pulverized the turnstiles beihnd us.
