And oh yeah - my life is not Entirely focused on the job hunt.
Let's see...
I'm finally learning some music theory as far as chord progressions. Trying to figure out how to play Ben Harper's "Steal My Kisses" but I sound pretty awful so far.
I bought a cute dress for Erin's wedding that is hopefully appropriate. I need a second opinion (momma!) and I also need to put strap holders on it so it doesn't fall off of my shoulders or expose my bra to Mike's grandparents (that would just be way too awkward for me).
Today I gave into the hype and began reading the first Harry Potter book. I'm sorry to say that I am enjoying it thoroughly.
I babysat for the neighbors' kids Monday night and they were soooo good. Matteo, the 3 year old, has golden ringlets and is very shy but still gives me kisses on my cheeks. What a cutie! And his sister Bianca is older (3rd grade), cleans up after herself, is amazing with her brother, and reminds me of how I was at her age. I'm doting on kids that aren't related to me. They're just too cute, though.
The show I went to on Wednesday ended up being very fun. Miegg's Field, now known as Northerly Island, has a nice view of the skyline. Shawn Colvin was entrancing as far as me wanting to emulate her technique and John Hiatt had good ol' southern dirty blues.
I also eat at least two tomatoes per day.
See!? My life is not All about me trying to get into the tedium of a full time job!
The Latin Music Festival is tomorrow and Sunday. We'll be meeting at my house around 1pm because it's so close to the CTA and then will take the CTA into the city. I'm not sure which stop will put us closest to Grant Park but we'll hopefully be able to figure that out.
