Summary: John sends Dean away at age seventeen to a small compound of hunters, sure that the additional training and time away from his family will be beneficial. When Dean returns at twenty, he's not the boy his father and brother remember. He's hard, brutal and violent, and the only person he seems to care about anymore is Sam - and perhaps not in the way he should. It soon becomes clear that Dean's 'training' wasn't quite what John had envisaged, and he's been left with a son who's angry, traumatised and unstable - and definitely keeping secrets.
