Hoo-ray! for entertaining televsion.

Collaborators

I really, really liked this episode.  So many layers.

I loved the intro, simply because it took me by surprise.  Poor, poor Jammer.  Sheesh, RDM wasn’t kidding when he commented that fans shouldn’t get too comfy with some of the characters in the series.

Okay, so when they said they’d feature the inside of a Basestar I figured they’d show off more than just a simple room furnished with Baltar, a wooden end table and a sofa. *snerk*  Well, Baltar’s mind is certainly creative.  Loved his reaction to Laura puttin’ the moves on him.

Anders & Thrace: Seriously, enough with the whining, move on, and don’t push the best thing you’ve got away.  Eh, too late.

So, Zarek is recognized as the President but decides to step down and hand over the office to Roslin.  Good idea ‘cause Adama doesn’t really like you .  Awesome, Roslin offers Tom the position of VP.  It’ll be interesting to watch them as they butt heads over decisions in future episodes.

Okay, not liking Tigh’s behavior so much, I do understand the reasons for it though.  So much darkness in that man now.

Well, the show is definitely putting the Galactica’s airlocks to some interesting usage.  It makes me wonder if they set some sort of alarm off in CIC when they’re opened.  I guess it’d be impossible to tell with all the battle damage the ship sustained.  Still, that bothered me.

Hmm, Zarek granted permission to establish the Circle of Justice… how underhanded but wholly expected.  And, so it begins.

That was a gutsy, and surprising first move by the re-instated President Roslin-to publicly pardon the collaborators after taking the oath.  I love her.  Hmm, that idea certainly took the air out of Zarek’s sails.

Tyrol: Such a follower.  I expected more from the guy after his actions on New Caprica.  But the guilt was obviously eating away at him.

Gaeta: Not lowering himself to beg for his life, knowing he’s about to be airlocked.  I loved that too.  And, I enjoyed the look of pure humiliation in his jury’s eyes after finding out he was the administration’s mole on NC.

Best convo of the ep, IMO, occurred between Lee and his father:

“Now, if you’ll excuse me.  I have a date with a jump rope.” - Lee

Lengthy pause.

“Hey, I’ve dropped half a stone.” - Lee

“Keep jumping.” - Adama

... Bwahahaha.
