It was a beautiful day yesterday, mild, in the 80s. So, off I went in search of batteries for my digital camera. I strolled into a local dollar store. Yeah, call me cheap.
And lo and behold my outing was destined to degenerate into something dealing with my couch potato habits.
Battlestar Galactica spoilery stuff ahead...
There by the checkout lane was the current issue of TV Guide. I snatched it up ‘cause my fangirl heart told me there would be something interesting inside of it. I flipped through the pages and landed on a pic of Adama and Kara; next to them was a spoilery blurb for some upcoming BSG eps. My heart went all a flutter. Anyway, in January a flashback-intensive episode will focus on Bill’s marriage to his late wife Caroline and how that affected his life within the military. I’m excited about that. EJO is a fantastic actor and I can’t wait for the angst I’m sure he’ll bring to that episode. I'm also hoping for some comfort provided it comes from Laura (guh, lives for the A/R shippiness). And, in November there will be more of a backstory concerning Starbuck and her relationsip with her mother. With all the crap she experienced these past couple of episodes do they really need to give her more. Should be an interesting rest o' the season.
Now, if the scribes on CSI would do that with Jim Brass’s past. I’d love to see him and Nancy reunite in some way, even if it involves them just being in a room glaring at each other. Another walk down memory lane would be good too. I’d take either.
Sheesh, it took them five seasons to finally let us in on something concerning Jim’s past back in Jersey and BSG is already delving into personal storylines, and they’re on their third season. Yeah, it’s drama vs. sci-fi… apples and oranges.
IMO, the writing has sucked on CSI for quite a while now.
