Prompts, Poets and Pimps

I'd promised myself this year that I'd do fewer fests and more recs. I have failed in both areas.

However, better late than never.

This is not on my IJ or under my Pottercut because the Potter connection is negligible and all the links are LJ ones. Adult warnings apply.

So, first up is grondfic's pair of mild slashfics here inspired by Colin Firth's BAFTA acceptance speech (those of you who heard this will not be surprised to find a vignette on the Person From Porlock and another on the Fridge Repair Man) I've not laughed so hard at the Lakeland Poets since Sue Limb's Wordsmiths at Gorsemere which this reminds me of irresistibly. (It's under a lock - but ask nicely…)

grondfic is also in the throes of Wimsey fic at the moment - which I also commend - particularly to the fellow campanologists on my list.

And then there's pushdragon's Haiti earthquake fic for blamebrampton, who requested Harry/Draco based on Shakespeare's "Pericles, Prince of Tyre" and gets "the Aegean beaches, the pirates, the wedding tournament, the murder plot, the brothel, and the contrived happy ending [all of which is] Shakespeare, so we can all pretend it's educational." Exeunt pirates does what it says on the tin.

And finally, one of the fests I will not be doing (but will be reading) is the luciusbigbang.

.

And you know me - any excuse for a blond.

Wanders off to find more icons - I am in desperate need of Ed Straker (so no change there then).

rec, fic, h/d, lucius, shakespeare
