Okay so you're probably like 'who the..?' They are awesome. Well, were awesome. Think emo angst like Dashboard Confessional. I saw them once back in 2005 when they did a side show in Melbourne after supporting Blink 182 on their tour. Canada Emily needs to be blamed for getting me into all this music, cause she was the one all like LISTEN TO THIS BAND, LISTEN TO THIS BAND!!
Anyway so they're back in Melbourne tonight playing at Billboards and Ricardo actually bought a ticket the other week and I was meant to as well... then we decided 'nah :(' because i realised they'd probably play stuff mostly from the new album which i'm not a great fan of, and over 40 bucks isn't worth a few old songs that i loooove. so poor ricardo sold his ticket.
THEN YESTERDAY!! I got a myspace comment from Coz, aka. Mark Awesome, aka. the guy we befriended on our Dashboard Confessional weekend, saying HI IM IN YOUR HOOD! So i was like HOW AND WHY.... and then I realised Brand New were in town and it's related genres... Then i told myself not to be silly. THEN he says he's in town because Brand New are here and if I didn't have tickets, he'd hook me up.
Soooooooooo exciiiiiteddddd. Not that the bamboos aren't exciting but brand new live that little bit further away and i feel better about not having to pay to see my favourite old songs.
SO again, apologies for not Bambooing it up, but ummm yeah. Die young and save yourseeeelllllllffff!!!!! not literally but yanno :|
